References – what our customers say
A huge thank you again from the entire EO Munich team. Please pass on our thanks to your team! (translated from german)
We would like to sincerely thank you for the excellent and very pleasant cooperation, your patience and flexibility, both during the preparation and the event itself. (translated from german)
We had some initial concerns, as this was our first time organizing such a large event. However, everything worked wonderfully at your venue, both the technology and the catering. The feedback from the participants was overwhelmingly positive, and the atmosphere at HBW was a perfect fit for our congress. We would be happy to work with you again for the next event (expected in 2026). (translated from german)
The hbw: The event address in Munich
For over 120 years, the hbw | House of Bavarian Industry has been the premier address in Munich for national and international events. Located just a short walk from Marienplatz and Karlsplatz (Stachus), the hbw ConferenceCenter at the House of Bavarian Industry offers one of Munich's most attractive and prestigious conference venues in a central yet quiet location.
The impressive staircase and open architecture still evoke the special atmosphere of the former hotel, which was highly valued by all its guests. The hbw ConferenceCenter continues this tradition at the highest level. Representatives from ministries, companies, consulates, associations, as well as discerning clients and guests, are frequent visitors.
The elegant event spaces at the hbw | House of Bavarian Industry can be used individually and combined flexibly, making them suitable for almost any type of event: whether it's an annual general meeting, press conference, congress, product launch, lecture, trade fair, or grand gala – your guests will feel right at home in our Munich conference center!
The Conti Restaurant will also spoil you with culinary delights, whether local or exotic, entirely according to your taste.
As unique as the hbw itself is the story of the legendary Grand Hotel Continental, which previously stood on this site. A luxury hotel that regularly welcomed guests such as Empress Sissi of Austria and renowned literary figures like Thomas Mann, Gerhart Hauptmann, and Rainer Maria Rilke, it was already one of Munich's most prestigious addresses over 125 years ago.
The history of the property began in 1833 with a wine tavern, which was expanded and transformed into a grand hotel in 1892.
The Hotel Continental was largely destroyed in 1944 but was rebuilt in 1950. With the German economic miracle came competition from cheaper hotel chains – the end of luxury hotels was foreseeable, including that of the Continental.
For over 25 years, the House of Bavarian Industry (hbw) has stood for both continuity and change and progress. It is a statement, an institution committed to keeping pace with the times.
In 2022, the building was already connected to the district cooling system. The next step is the conversion of the office spaces to meet the requirements of "New Working." Combined with sustainable climate control technology and air filtration systems, the hbw is gradually moving closer to carbon neutrality.

Yes, we have a selection of images that can be used for a small fee.
All content displayed via a computer.
PPT, PDF, video, websites and content, Skype, webEx, images and logos (jpg, png), mobile devices in mirroring, camera images (e.g. live image from the hall of the speaker) and all other formats that run via a playback device.
From the control room or the event space. Ideally from the conference area. Under certain conditions, the playback device can be located anywhere in an affiliated event space at hbw.
For a single presentation, the outer segments can be retracted into the ceiling. The screen surface can be divided and moved laterally within a predefined area, allowing for separate projection of, for example, a logo. Alternatively, a single projection without a background – directly from the playback device – can be projected onto the screen. The number of panels is freely selectable, and the visible presentation size is adjustable.
Yes, but it requires a precisely planned production sequence and rehearsals beforehand. The movement of a virtual projection surface must be programmed in advance and cannot be changed spontaneously. This requires time and additional programming costs.

Organization & Technology
The display monitors in front of the halls can be customized as follows:
1. You send us a logo, which we will then integrate into the display system. For this, we need a .jpg, .png, or .eps file. We also need the event title and time.
2. You send us a .jpg or .png file with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 (portrait orientation), which we will then display across the entire screen.
For the individual setup of the front monitors at the lecterns, we require the following from you:
1. Lectern Europasaal: .jpg in 16:10 format
2. Lectern Münchner Saal: .jpg in 16:9 format
That's no problem. You simply need to embed the font when saving your PowerPoint presentation. In PowerPoint for Office 365, for example, this can be done via File -> Options -> Save -> Embed fonts in file. This only works with TrueType and OpenType fonts.
Alternatively, you can send us the font file – we will then install it on the relevant computer for your event.
Or you can convert your presentation to a PDF. This will preserve the graphical layout from your presentation program. However, the presentation cannot then be edited on-site.
In principle, this is possible. There are several ways to solve this.
For example, you can insert videos into a presentation and, similar to fonts, save them embedded within the presentation. Alternatively, you can link the videos. In this case, the video file must be transferred along with the presentation and be located in the correct folder at the new playback location. However, since this often leads to problems, we recommend ALWAYS bringing all files used in a presentation along with the presentation itself on a storage device. This allows us to reassemble them on-site if necessary.
You are also welcome to send us your presentation in advance, indicating, for example, the presence of an embedded video. We will then test your .ppt file on our computers beforehand. If it doesn't function correctly, you will receive feedback, giving you time to react or make adjustments.
If you include internet links in your presentation, please inform the organizer or us in advance to ensure that the computer used for the presentation is connected to the internet. Otherwise, the link cannot be displayed. An internet connection is not the default setting, as this could result in unwanted update notifications or similar issues.
If you would like to place exhibitors in the foyer, this is possible as soon as you rent the Conference Area exclusively. This means booking the Munich Hall and the Bavaria Hall in addition to the Europe Hall. Depending on the expected number of attendees, it may be advisable to use the Bavaria Hall as a buffet area. In this case, you can also use the video wall in the foyer (for promotional videos, live feeds from the plenary session, logos, agendas, etc.). We would be happy to provide you with a quote.
We have a department that can offer you organizational services related to event planning and support you in the planning, organization, and execution phases. We would be happy to put you in touch with them.
Please send packages to "Haus der Bayerischen Wirtschaft, Max-Joseph-Str. 5, 80333 Munich," stating your contact person at the building, the event name, and the event date. As our storage space is very limited, we kindly ask you to arrange for packages to be delivered as close to the event date as possible. To ensure your package is ready on the day of the event, we also ask that you inform us of any planned shipments.
